Mimi and Daniel

When couples are truly in love, the most important detail is to celebrate it! That was so the case with Mimi & Daniel. This was such a fun wedding, not just because they had a fabulous venue: Faculty House at Columbia Unversity-http://facultyhouse.columbia.edu/ or because their photographer was simply AMAZING: http://christinehanphotography.com/ not even because the flowers looked like tropical candy CityIris-www.cityiris.net but because they were so head over heels in LOVE.

Septmber! Weddings, weddings and more WEDDINGS!

I don't think we will ever forget September 2012!!!

Not only was it booked solid with amazing weddings, we also got a chance to work with some of the loveliest brides you can imagine, in very aspect! Its was "open hands" design wise all the way.

We will feature every wedding, one by one, but lets start with the grandest!
I can take too much credit for this one, as i was quite busy doing a wedding in Long Island. But Josh and the team did an amazing job and covered every single detail.

It was a color scheme of Plum,Purple and metallic Silver.
Ceremony and reception both took place at Tribeca Rooftop -http://www.apogeeevents.com/ one the most fabulous venues in NYC. The inspiration was " Construction gone GLAM" and Josh actually used cement, construction blocks and shattered glass as part of the decor.

The St. Regis NY, the height of Glamour!

What can we say about the St. Regis that has not been said over and over again. We so enjoyed our first wedding at this iconic hotel. It was a small, super intimate wedding for about 60 guests and we followed that lead. 

For this wedding we stayed with a clean and romantic palette of all White Roses, Orchids and Hydrangeas. We fell in love with the abundance of Gold and the shimmering  chandeliers, so we added floating candles to catch light and our signature crystal candle holders which added just the right touch. The staff at the St.Regis made us feel right at home.

Some brides are just so hip and fashion forward. Kate was one of those brides. Sweet, open and just a all round pleasure to work with. She had some ideas but mostly wanted bright, jewel tone flowers that would compliment her lovely lace bridal gown and electric Blue bridesmaids.

We went with a combination of lush, jewel tones in shades of Yellow, Amethyst and Pink. The flowers and her wedding turned out fabulous. Hip, cool and super chic is what you see quite clearly.

Kate's bouquet was timeless. A stunning combination of fragrant Peonies, Gardenias and Sweet Pea ( a personal favorite). It was oohs, and aahs all the way. Even the cabbie had to say something about the amazing scent as i was delivering these lovely bouquets. 

The bridesmaids gowns were by J CREW http://www.jcrew.com/wedding.jsp?navLoc=top_nav who has quite an impressive collection of bridal and bridesmaids attire. Kate's amazing lace gown was carefully and wisely selected at Gabriella New York Bridal Salon http://www.gabriellanewyork.com/, they have an endless selection of fashion forward gowns for the CHIC NY bride.

JAZZ, JAZZ, JAZZ!

We took JAZZ at Lincoln Center by storm! Any vendor in NY will tell you that getting in and out of JAZZ is not easy, but most things worthwhile are never easy! This wedding was modern, clean and simple. The only fluff on sight was the beaded metallic overlays which I insisted on as I knew they would shimmer and compliment the killer view-and they sure did!! Cant take too much credit as i was away doing another wedding. Once i finished my wedding i ran over to Jazz and was quite please to see what Josh and the team had done!!!!

CHIC Engagement Party at " Mondrain Soho"

We were so excited to do our first event at one of the chicest, boutique hotels in NY. Add to that the fabulous Jennifer Cohen from Xquisite Events, www.xquisitevents.com/ and you just know the result will be fabulous! We worked with the color of the moment, Yellow and really enjoyed this intimate, gorgeous engagement party! The Hotel is oh so POSH and we look forward to upcoming events at the Mondrian Soho, www.mondriansoho.com/

Invitations are a very important detail for every wedding. Not only do they set the tone, but they give guests a small preview of whats to come. I always tell my brides to pay close attention when selecting invitations. Quality, style and of-course budget are the 3 most important things to keep in mind. That being said (or written) we are now offering the Monique Lhuillier line of exclusive, signature wedding invitations and fine stationery. Monique does wonders with bridal and evening wear and is now adding her touch and flair to invitations at a price that will make many brides beyond happy.

A Winter White Wedding gone GLAM

Every wedding has its own special detail that pretty much defines every other aspect and sets overall tone of decor.

Jennifer and Derek wanted the feeling of winter in a cool, warm and elegant way. Candle light was of utmost importance. We stayed with a classic combination of creamy White, Gold and touches of Silver which complimented the lovely 3 West Club http://www.3westclub.com/ to perfection. .Once the room was set and very candle was lit, it was exactly what we all envisioned. We added stunning, metallic Gold overlays that really enhanced the abundant, flickering candles. The result as you can see was quite inviting!

What is it about candle light that makes us all feel romantic, glamorous and at home?

One FABULOUS New Year's EVE

With out question, New Year's eve is a very special time. We all take time to reflect and to dream big for the year to follow. Add a a fabulous wedding and it just becomes something entirely special, motivating and utterly FABULOUS.

Amanda and Adam were a fabulous couple in every way- and they truly deserved an over the top, fabulous New Year's wedding. Weather was on our side- just imagine 50+ degrees in the middle of winter. Truly a gift!
