Our very first snow storm hit NY. As you can imagine not the best weather for a wedding, but as always " The show WEDDING must go on" and what a lovely wedding it was. How refreshing to be surrounded by lovely PINK roses in the mist of a cold winter day.

Sarah & Matthew

It was a lovely wedding in Tarrytown, NY.

Traditional and very Elegant with a rich color palette of Purple, Magenta and Ivory. All of the arrangements were created by Josh, who did a great job as i was taking care of lighting,place-cards and all the small details that make every wedding special!! This wedding was very speacial, as it was booked on our very first day with David's Bridal.

Best wishes to Sarah and Matthew.

The fresh colors of SPRING

For 2010, David's will offer some amazing colors, perfect for Spring and Summer. Pistachio, Watermelon, Kelly Green, Horizon Blue and the always prefect combination of Black, White and Pink. Check out some of the new accessories to add that shot of color for your upcoming wedding!

Sneak Peak - Spring 2010

We had the pleasure of providing flowers for the David's Bridal Spring
2010 collection at the "Wedding Cafe".

Get ready, as some AMAZING gowns and colors will pop up soon. All of the gowns have a modern yet romantic feel, and very style conscious.

I fell in love with two particular gowns.

The first is a delicate tulle with multiple rows of ruffles, so romantic and very flattering, the drop waist will make your waistline tiny!

The second is a stunning a-line straight out of a fairytale, complete with a gorgeous beaded lace-tulle overlay, the perfect choice for a formal evening wedding! The beaded belt is just the right accent.

Ahh, the satisfaction of finding the perfect dress without breaking the bank; priceless, literally!!!

Pink, Blue and Yellow flowers for Victoria's Secret

We recently worked with Victoria's Secret on a new fragrance launch. We were inspired by the lovey colors and provided delicate arrangements that complimented the color scheme and served as a backdrop to the new LIVE, WISH and HOPE fragrances. We added delicious color coordinated candies from Dylan's Candy Bar.

The new fragrance collection will be available in stores in February 2010, right in time for Valentines Day!!!

A weekend in Sleepy Hollow

We recently spent a lovely weekend in Sleepy Hollow,NY providing flowers for Anne and Neil. They rented a lovely private mansion for their wedding in historic Sleepy Hollow.

Anne's only request was for a simple and dainty bouquet of Lilly of the Valley and Freesia, and simple flowers in a single, bright and vibrant color. We worked with Purple Hydrangeas for all personal flowers and added lush Orange Vanda Orchids, Mango Calla Lillies and Orange Unique Roses for reception flowers. The look was clean and simple, and the custom Green dupioni silk runners and numerous taper candles added an elegant and formal feel.

Best wishes to Anne and Neil, and thank you for making us a part of such a special day!!!

Amazing Wedding Cakes

We recently filmed an appearance on "Amazing Wedding Cakes" on the WE channel. It was a delight working with Laurie, she is truly talented and every cake is a work of art. This cake design was inspired by the Orchids and Crystals we used for Mia McAndrews wedding at Studio 450. Episode will air in Spring 2010, keep an eye out!!!

Mia oh Mia!!! Part Duex

Very few brides, can pull off bridal and sexy at the same time. Well, Mia did and with no problem. The wedding was a huge success, and although the rain took its toll, all turned out exactly as planned. The flowers were rich Purples, and included Norah Blue Vanda Orchids, Antique dark Purple Hydrangeas and Violet Lisianthus. The ceremony decor was made entirely of Green Cymbidium Orchids, and included and arch made up of Bamboo. The ceremony and reception were at Studio 450, catering was provided by Creative Edge events (the sliders and milkshakes were divine). Hats off to Christie from CLM, she did an AMAZING job and ensured that all went as planned.

I miss Mia already and hope to catch up with her soon!

Something BLUE!

When we meet with Michelle, she was very clear of her vision. A clever combination of traditional flowers with a modern approach for the reception. We wanted the Horizon Blue color scheme to be the main focus. The reception was at The Chateau Briand in Carle Place NY. The look of the venue screams art deco, so we both agreed the elegant glass hurricane vases , with a touch of Blue ribbon and crystals would be the perfect choice. We added a custom crystal trim to add the "BLING" effect. The result was glorious, and the room glowed with the soft touch of candle light!

Why not Green?

We have always felt that the combination of Green and Brown is so rich, and ideal for any season or venue. Two classic neutral colors accented with candles will make your flowers POP and really impress your guests.

For this particular set-up we worked with lush Cymbidium Orchids in Chocolate and Green, mini Green Hydrangeas, Green Orynthigalum and classic Green Tea Roses. For linens we used a lovely Espresso Satin, accented with classic White napkins with Brown ribbon detailing; all custom and created by Joshua Stal for CITYIRIS.

Carmen, Carmen, Carmen!

We just finished a stunning wedding at the Fox Hollow Country Club. Carmen is a childhood fiend, and we were both so pleased when she choose us to help her out with flowers and decor. She looked AMAZING, i knew she would as she is truly a natural beauty.

The decor was modern and inviting! Loads of candles, which always ensure a romantic atmosphere and the most amazing color combo of Red and Coral.

I wish we could do it over, it was such fun!

Polish Delight!

I always find it so refreshing to work with brides from other cultures. For this Polish bride we worked with a Red and Green palette, and a lush combination of Green Shadow Hydrangeas, Black Baccara Roses and Green Tea Carnations(which i personally feel are always overlooked). We added Red silk Butterflies to all the arrangements to add a whimsical feel, and followed the Butterfly theme with the placa cards.

The decor turned out exactly as we had planned, as they would say in Poland
"Piekne Kwiaty", which means "Beautiful Flowers" in Poland.
