Something Traditional for Sarah

Sarah was very specific about two things. She knew her budget and she wanted Plum, which is a great color to work with and a personal favorite. We meet at David's Bridal and had an instant connection.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, December 9th 2009 at the Portuguese American Cultural Center in Tarrytown NY. I took an afternoon off to visit the space, which is lovely. High ceilings, amazing Crystal Chandeliers and an overall " Elegant" feel .

We came up with a floral design of lush Roses, Hydrangeas and Bells of Ireland. We started with a dark Plum and gradually added light Purple and a touch of Green to keep the arrangements natural. The look is traditional and very elegant. Once we add the candles and lighting, the result will be " Country Club" at its best!!!

As we get a little closer we will feature a before and after of the space and flowers. We are looking forward to December!

Mia, oh Mia

The goal of this blog is to Inspire ! On a regular basis we will post ideas and designs for upcoming weddings. Lets start with Mia McAndrews. The wedding will take place at Studio 450 on Saturday, October 24th 2009. Its a GREAT space, a dream for every designer as it is basically a blank canvas. The space is entirely White, with amazing views of Manhattan and the Hudson River.

Mia wanted something chic, clean and modern. We decided to go with a great combination of Glass, Crystals, Candles and of course FLOWERS in amazing shades of Purple with touches of Green. These are the pictures from our mock up. We will add the images to our website the week after the wedding. Its going to be AMAZING!

Each table will feature a custom made " Floral Chandelier" made up entirely of hanging glass vases, Crystals and Flowers. We will add an abundant amount of candles in varying sizes to create a warm and glowing effect. With the help of Christie from CLM Weddinngs and Jeri,who is so inspiring we came up with the prefect look!

This wedding was magical and the ultimate in NYC chic. Great food, amazing decor and an overall relaxed atmosphere. It was a pleasure working with Dan and Kathryn.

For this particular wedding, we covered every aspect- rentals, decor and flowers. The food was "AMAZING" Momofuku did a great job with catering, it was so hard to not sit down and chow down : -).
