Abby's Wedding

Every once in a while you come across a bride who just makes you love your job.

Abby was exactly that type of bride, with a bonus- she came along with the fabulous Shanelle Walker of "Imaginative Creations by Shanelle" who has the amazing ability to truly stay calm. They were clear on colors and theme and wanted the wedding to reflect her Nigerian culture, and it did.

The dress was by " Eve of Milady" and the perfect choice for a beach wedding.

It was not all smooth sailing as the venue was quite difficult, in every aspect. But the loveliness of Abby made it all worth it!

We worked with a color scheme of Yellow, Green and Purple. Ceremony took place on the beach, which was quite lovely. Afterwards guests enjoyed a short walk to cocktail hour which was held on an outdoor promenade overlooking Manhattan beach.

Then it was on to the reception decked out with stunning parasols, lanterns and the most colorful floral arrangements of Orchids, Lillies and abundant tropical foliage.Every detail for this wedding was custom.

The linens, the invites and the decor was created especially for Abby by CITYIRIS.

This wedding will always bring back sweet memories!

VIP Country Club part Deux

Any bride that considers Purple and Green as wedding colors will always get more than promised. Alice got just that! She was such a pleasure to work with-I am quite fortunate though, as most of my brides are.

My two favorite colors side by side, always a plus for me. For Alice it was a lovely combination of modern and luxe flowers with a touch of " Alice in Wonderland".

We stayed with a modern look for the reception decor- with the help of her wedding planner, we converted the outdoor terrace into a lounge with all the right touches to add the Alice theme. All White baroque furniture, abundant desserts and of course teapots filled with wild flowers, as if we plucked from wonderland itself.

This wedding was lovely!

A Glamorous Sunset at Chelsea Piers

When we met with Shez two things were clear- she wanted a glamorous wedding with a sunset theme.

This ceremony and reception took place at the Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers, with amazing views of the Hudson River. A GREAT venue for a wedding or special event.

We started with a color combination of Purple and Coral. For decor we created huge pomanders of lush Roses in shades of Coral to mimic the sun and complimented the tables with stunning, tall arrangements of lush Coral flowers in varying heights. Crystals were hanging from everywhere to add the bling-bling feel.

After dinner guests enjoyed the "Lounge Area" complete with custom purple suede benches. It truly was a glamorous wedding with a "Sunset" feel!

Spring weddings

There is something so special about spring weddings. Aside from flowers being at their peak, the overall feeling of spring will make any weddding special and full of color. This wedding took place at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange,NJ overlooking the NY skyline.

We worked with a color combination on Pink, Green and Peach. Tulips, Hydrangeas, Stock and Peonise were in abundance.

Very spring, very colorful and very CITYIRIS!

Maria, Maria, MARIA!

We love working with brides of all cultures and backgrounds. We have been hoping to work with a Greek bride for the longest time! I am so glad my first Greek bride was Maria Giatrakis, fabulous in every way. All she said is i love the Pinks and Purples and left the rest to us! It was amazing and the look stood out at the Fox Hollow Country Club in Long Island. We were so happy with the wedding, we decided to change our homepage and showcase Maria's lovely wedding!

Stacy and Dalai

We have the honor to work with couples on such a special day! We often become friends with all the phone calls, emails and meetings. This is a sneak peak of the loveliest wedding at the High lawn Pavilion on West Orange NJ. A formal layout on our gallery to follow!

"Our kids count on us" Event

Its always a pleasure for us to provide flowers and decor to a wedding or special event. When its for a cause it just goes a bit further, and makes it even more special for us! We recently work with the Center for Children with learning disabilities on their annual fund raiser. It was held at the FABULOUS TriBeca Rooftop. It was a sea of Green!!! We stayed with a monochromatic look of all Green flowers, linens and candles. The look was spectacular and ultra SPRING! See for your self!!!

A summer wedding at VIP Country Club

This is a preview of a lovely upcoming summer wedding at the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle. Also known as the "strip" as it is literally a row of lovely catering halls back to back, the VIP gets our vote! The main focus of this arrangement is the White Phaleanopsis Orchid, surrounded with a lush combination of Yellow, Purple Tulips and Green Hydrangeas.
All great choices for summer.

Still debating which color candle to use- bright Purple, rich Gold or classic clear?
