Valentina and Chris

Every wedding has its own unique needs and challenges. For Valentina's wedding is was all about her color scheme of Black, Hot Pink and Turquoise. Not an easy color scheme for a wedding but this decor was glamorous, fun and very catching! We had so much fun and the day just flew by so quickly.

Valentina and her mom Vivian are those type of clients that you just end up being friends with.

The ceremony and reception took place at Studio 450 which was the perfect venue to support the color scheme as its all White and pretty much like an empty canvas.

The catering was just fabulous, Yen and Gary from "Real Food" www.realfoodcatering.net did a fabulous job!
I am very much looking forward to our next wedding with them.

Pictures were taken by Erika of " Captured by Erika" who did just that, www.capturedbyerika.com . She captured every single special moment!

We will feature this wedding prominently on our website and with NY Weddings magazine.

My Miss. Trinidad

We started working with Nicole about a 1 year ago. She lives in Trinidad, but wanted to have her wedding in New York as most of her family lives in Brooklyn. We helped Nicole with almost every single aspect. Gown, floral and decor, rentals, printing and we refereed her to the fabulous Pawel Lach of New Style Photo, www.newstylephoto.com

The wedding took place at Coral House in Baldwin, NY. I wish i could say it was a pleasure as is with most catering halls, but it was not. They made it very difficult from start to finish. But there was so much love in the air that it all turned out lovely! The color scheme was just delicious shades of Pink and Orange with crystals everywhere!

I was a bit sad to say goodbye to my Miss. Trinidad, but will always remember this special day and the power of a great and dedicated team. Its all about the bride, most of us know that! Formal pictures to be featured in our gallery and ???

Can we say GLAMOUR?

We had a grand old time at the NY Weddings Showcase. Not only did we meet with many excited brides, but we also met with numerous fabulous vendors we have worked with in the past.

We were feeling quite Glamorous and wanted our set-up to reflect it! Every single part was custom and exactly as we envisioned it! A special thank you to Anne from Party Rentals,LTD-"http://www.partyrentalltd.com"> for sending us just the right rentals. We felt all White flowers would keep the look and add a romantic touch!

The design was inspired by COCO CHANEL. We have seen the movie a thousand times and always walk away with endless inspiration and motivation to be fabulous. CHANEL would be proud (we hope)...

Simple, Urban and Organic

When we met with Alonia and Shanelle the one thing that came up was to with a "look" that would somehow be urban, simple and most definitely organic. Not an easy feat to achieve as most of these styles work well on their own.

So, we came up with a simple, chic look of metal lanterns filled with lush, Green Cymbidium Orchids. We added Purple Thistle and Hydrangeas in recycled, glass bottles in varying heights. To add to the organic feel we added Manzanita branches, which is pretty much a standard when trying to achieve an organic look and feel.

To bring in the urban touch, we used a Lucite dish that reflected Purple, Blue or Green depending on lighting. We kept the flowers simple as the colors gave a strong floral presence without getting fussy.

The finished look was very urban, organic and super, modernly simple.

We look forward to the next challenge Shanelle brings us!

Diana, Diana , DIANA

Its no secret, my career in bridal began when i saw Diana Spencer stepping out of her carriage in her amazing wedding dress by David and Elizabeth Emanuel. I was also taken by her fabulous, cascading bouquet. Not as popular today as they should be. But hopefully this style will make a comeback!

When we did a wedding at St. John the Divine which is one of the largest cathedrals in the world, I knew I would finally have my chance to recreate her fabulous bouquet.

Thank you Sam and Jeri for giving CityIris such an amazing experience.

In honor of Diana's 30th wedding anniversary i am recreating a modern day version of one of the most iconic gowns in bridal fashion.
